This article is provided for Cybersmart clients who are struggling to set up their incoming and outgoing email servers.
Cybersmart has a number of different email servers on their system so it’s really hard to impossible to figure out which one to use. The aim of this article is to provide guidance to their customers. Here is a list of known Cybermart incoming POP3 and IMAP servers, as reported by their website, and their call centre:
For incoming, since you can have port 993 for IMAPS secure and 143 for IMAP, the total combined amount of configurations possible are 10.
Outgoing servers are also a bit over the show so we’ll just tell you about one. However, the following ports have all been provided by their call centre:
If you try smtp.cybersmart.co.za remember that you have at least 4 difference possibilities with the ports above.
As a general rule, it’s near impossible to get an outgoing service with if your email address ends in @cybersmart.co.za. Some advanced technicians claim it’s possible, others become quite rude when you ask for it. I gave up personally after a month of trying but please leave a reply if you think it’s possible.
